June 2024 Employee of the Month:

Matt Rowell

Matt works in our Equipment Shop and he has been here almost a year now. He talked about working here and said the people at Colony are the best thing about his job. He said it’s like family here. Matt explained that it has been a learning curve and he’s learning a lot here, which he enjoys.

 

Matt was born and raised in Jacksonville, Florida. He has a blue tick beagle named Retta. When Matt is not at work he loves to fish and has been fishing on the river a lot lately. He also enjoys working on home projects and is currently staining his deck around the pool.

 

Parts & Service Manager, Mike Kite said, “Matt has embraced a role that he is still very early in his career learning and enjoys not only being at work but has a great attitude towards everyone. Matt has shown his value by going out on road calls on his own and fixing equipment and trucks that are down. For those who have never been in that situation, being a young technician with no formal training and jumping into a service truck to take on the enormous weight of getting something fixed all on your own with limited resources is a huge pressure that he had no hesitation doing. It’s a pleasure having someone excited about their job working with you.”
